A660 Otley Road C-27

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Connecting Leeds are implementing trial measures to enable social distancing and active travel across the city, as part our emergency safe streets, save lives campaign.

Work started in September 2020 on the A660 Otley Road to implement cycling between St Anne's Road / A6157 (Headingley) and Victoria Road and in February 2021 for Hyde Park Corner to St Marks Road.

The primary aim is to create more prominent cycle lanes, segregated where possible, both inbound and outbound along this section of road with high rates of cycling. The lanes will introduce semi-permanent bollards and changes to lining.

It is anticipated most of this work will be undertaken at night, like laying new road surfaces, when businesses are closed, and traffic diverted, to avoid causing disruption. This also helps to keep pedestrians safe. Any overnight work will take place between 7pm and 5am. Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times.

We’d like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this might cause.
